Recently, THS band students had an opportunity to perform instrumental solo or ensemble pieces before judge and receive a rating. Soloist Mailini Nambiar and a woodwind trio featuring Alan Gondeck, Ciara Middleton and Kathleen Spencer earned Superior ratings.
Alana Gondeck, Evan Kadan, Nathan Kadan, Tommy Nixon, and Michelle Reed each received Superior ratings for their instrumental solos and now qualify to advance the State level. Sophomore Michelle Reed earned a perfect score.
The flute trio of Alana Gondeck, Kathleen Spencer, and Veronica Alecia also received a rating of Excellent and advance to the state level.
